On March 28, we invited you to share a photo of spring blossoms in celebration of the changing seasons.Thank you to those who have already shared photos with us. Professional Development Fund for Management & Professional (M&P) staff increased to $750

For the 2022/23 funding year, the individual Professional Development (PD) Fund maximum for M&P staff has increased from $550 to $750. This individual increase has resulted from cumulative funding increases made to the overall budget during the 2019-2022 UBC-AAPS Agreement period to support increased use of PD Funds. PD Funds support learning activities that enhance your workplace knowledge or skills and support your career growth at the university.

Announcing the appointment of new Dean, Faculty of Arts

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Clare Haru Crowston has been appointed as the new Dean of the Faculty of Arts for a five-year term commencing no later than January 1, 2023. Dr. Crowston is a professor of History at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she currently serves as the Associate Dean for the Humanities and Interdisciplinary Programs in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

The University of British Columbia (UBC) Board of Governors has approved UBC’s 2022/2023 budget. The new budget sets spending priorities for the year ahead to advance the university’s key strategic priorities while supporting students, faculty, and staff in their collective pursuit of excellence in learning, teaching, and research.

How does the change in season inspire you, what has captured your attention, and what's flourishing in your neck of the woods? Whether it's the ornamental cherry trees bursting with delicate pink blooms, or the new growth in your garden, we want you to share a photo (or two) that captures seasonal buds, blooms, and greenery.  What do you need to do?
