Participate in the annual ShakeOut drill on Oct. 20, and learn more about the risks in our community and what UBC is doing to plan ahead. The Great BC Shakeout is an annual province-wide earthquake drill for everyone to practice how to protect themselves and be better prepared in the event of an earthquake. This November, UBC will be welcoming nearly 7,000 alumni from the classes of 2020 and 2021 on the Vancouver campus back to experience the in-person graduation they missed during the pandemic, on top of celebrating the achievements of over 2,000 students during fall congregation. At UBC Okanagan, make-up ceremonies will be held for graduates from the classes of Spring 2020 and 2021. A number of volunteering opportunities are available for faculty and staff.
