Get ready to showcase your wildlife photography prowess

In recent years, we’ve asked faculty and staff to share your snaps of nature-inspired moments.  This spring, we’ll be putting out another call for photos – this time focused on the birds and wildlife you encounter in your neighbourhood or out on hikes across the province.

UBC Library digitizes Indigenous language dictionaries

UBC launches Peter Wall Legacy Awards program

UBC is pleased to launch the inaugural competitions for the Wall Fellowships and Wall Research Awards.  These awards are valued at approximately $4 million annually, and have been made possible by the groundbreaking $100 million Peter Wall Legacy Fund, which was established through generous and recently revitalized donations from Dr. Peter Wall, dating back to 1991. 

Dr. William Valley awarded 2024 West Coast Teaching Excellence Award

In recognition of his excellence in teaching and his commitment to the principles of equity, inclusion, and decolonization, Dr. William (Will) Valley is the recipient of one of this year's West Coast Teaching Excellence Awards. Through this award, the British Columbia Teaching and Learning Council celebrates excellence in teaching in publicly funded colleges, institutes, and universities in British Columbia and Yukon.
